Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is an essential part of any successful organization. At PSE, we believe that promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion is not only the right thing to do, but it is also essential to our success. We are committed to fostering a workplace that values and celebrates differences, where all employees feel heard, respected, and included.

One way we prioritize DE&I is through the leadership of our Vice President of DE&I. Our Vice President of DE&I is responsible for overseeing all aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion within PSE. They work closely with other leaders within PSE and Ohio University to develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that support a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Through the leadership of our Vice President of DE&I, we have developed a number of programs and initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization. Some of these initiatives include:

  • Unconscious Bias Training: We offer training to all members to help them identify and overcome their unconscious biases and promote a more inclusive student organization.
  • Mentorship Programs: Our mentorship programs provide members with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, develop new skills, and build their networks.
  • Recruitment Initiatives: We are committed to actively recruiting candidates from underrepresented groups and working closely with OMSAR (Office of Multicultural Success and Retention.

At PSE, we believe that DE&I is not just a buzzword, but a critical component of our success. We are committed to creating a student organization where all members feel valued and supported, and where diversity is not just tolerated but celebrated.

If you have any questions about our DE&I initiatives, or would like to learn more about our Vice President of DE&I, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to talk about our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we welcome the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations about this important topic.
